Job Description

We’re looking for a UX Designer with a strong background in user centric design methodologies. Our organization sees the values of UX and are working to break into the field for our technology solutions. You’ll be in involved throughout the entire design process from gathering user insights to producing visually detailed designs. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other team members as you build a best-of-class user experience. Coding is not a requirement but it is best to have an understanding of what is possible within windows web applications. We will ask you to turn complex systems and information into useful, usable and engaging user experiences. You ready? This position is for you.

As a User Experience Designer, you will:

  • Know the business, how to speak the business’ language, and translate consumer insights into UX strategies and execution that propel us to a bright future
  • Collaborate and build consensus with key stakeholders; always representing the user point of view, striking the balance between the ideal, and the realities of feasibility and delivery
  • Maintain deep understanding of the current experience, business objectives, audience(s), roadmap, features, design trends and best practices, research, metrics, VOC and other measures, competitive landscape, and full digital ecosystem
  • Drive and improve content, navigation and site architecture via card-sorting, tree-testing and quantitative research
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve the customer experience, including usability testing, heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis, and MVT; share findings with project, and business stakeholders
  • Lead creation of early design sketches and end state vision/design prototypes to help inform strategy
  • Ensure that digital principles, standards, styles, design patterns, and renderings are followed and represented correctly
  • Identify opportunities to stretch current or create new digital standards

Role Essentials:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an Information Architect, User Experience Designer/Architect, User Interface Designer, or Interaction Designer
  • A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to strategically create compelling user experiences that factor in business goals, development capabilities, design standards and user needs
  • Strong understanding of interaction design principles and current global UI/design pattern standards
  • Strategically adept with a penchant for curiosity; determined
  • Ability to prioritize and stay focused on fewer, bigger, better, and faster
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence stakeholders to determine business strategy in the digital arena, develop and execute big ideas while maintaining collaborative working relationships.
  • Experience designing with business, technical and design guideline constraints
  • Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt existing processes and deliverables when necessary to meet project needs and improve efficiency and quality
  • Demonstrated ability to design complex transactional user interfaces and interactions for web, mobile and cross channel experiences
  • Experience creating conceptual models, site maps, interaction flows, design patterns, UI specifications, taxonomies and metadata frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in defining research criteria, leading or participating in user research, and translating user research into design decisions
  • Ability to track and predict industry trends
  • Proficient with: Sketch, Axure, Invision, Simpli, Adobe Products, Microsoft Office
  • You will report to a Technology Implementation Lead within HTA organization.
