The Enterprise Account Executive-GEM is a consultative field sales position. Individuals in this position are responsible for selling Fiber WAN, Fiber Internet, Fiber Voice, HPBX, Video, and other ancillary services to new commercial business customers in the Government, Education, and Medical verticals. This position will have a primary responsibility of generating new revenue in the Education vertical through the ERATE program, while also being responsible for new revenue generation in the Large Medical and Government sectors.
Enterprise Account Executives-GEM are responsible for developing long-term relationships with new business customers in the Government, Education, and Large Medical space. Both high-level technical discussions and C-Level business conversations will be required to be successful in this role.
Enterprise Account Executive-GEM will be responsible for selling dedicated fiber based services to Government, Education, and Large Medical Enterprise clients, including Point-to-Point Ethernet connections (WAN), Dedicated Internet Access, Wi-Fi, Voice Services, Hosted Voice Services, Managed Services, Video, and other ancillary services.
What you will be doing:
Responsible for achieving an annual new revenue quota.
Identifying target markets, industries, and contacts for our Enterprise product portfolio.
Identify target school districts through ERATE program. Develop relationships with School District’s and position our client in the best possible position to win business.
Identify target Large Medical institutions through the USAC Rural Health program. Develop relationships with Large Medical accounts and position our client in the best possible position to win business.
Help target and negotiate State Government contracts.
Position involves significant “hunter/field sales activities” with travel to customer locations expected as often.
Strong Cold Calling (prospecting / door knocking) for new clients.
Network with area peers to acquire referrals.
Writing and presenting professional, organized proposals.
Negotiating contracts with CEO/CTO level Executives.
Project Management of sales cycle activities and service implementation
Maintaining and reporting sales activity, including funnels, sales call activity, forecasts.
Developing customer centric solutions and delivering sales proposals on product features and benefits.
Building and maintaining relationships in the Corporate and IT Community.
Perform other duties as requested by manager
Outside Telecom field sales experience
4-year college degree or equivalent
Experience with the fiber optics industry and basic knowledge of routers/switches
Experience with ERATE program.
Experience with USAC Rural Health program.
Five or more years of B2B sales experience selling data, voice, cloud and/or video solutions to multi-location enterprise accounts
Experience in selling to Corporate Executives, IT Directors, CTO’s, School Superintendents.
Experience in outside sales to Education, Healthcare, and State/Local Government Enterprise verticals.
Experience with selling via the USAC ERATE and Rural Healthcare programs
Experience negotiating Master Service Agreements
Experience in financial/business benefits selling
Understanding of TCP/IP networking.
Familiarity with business software and hardware applications and Intranets.
Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and equipment. Routers, Switches, Frame Relay, ATM, SONET and Ethernet.
Understanding need and function of network security and firewalls.
Telephony experience in selling Trunking products such as T1, PRI, and SIP.
Knowledge and understanding of the role of Network facilities in a Corporate Environment in support of Telephony requirements (such as call centers).
Bachelor's degree or better
