Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards. * Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. * Reviews staffing levels on a daily basis and calls available staff. Reviews scheduled staff with charge nurse and Administrative Nursing Supervisor on a shift-by shift basis to ensure skill level is adequate for patient care needs. * Provides information regarding staffing requirements to staff and management. Reports issues and problems to department leader and/or Administrative Nursing Supervisor. * Provides staffing report to Administrative Nursing Supervisor regarding census and staff needed for next shift all within proper contract guidelines. * Answers phones, provides customer service to staff coming into the office daily. * Reviews and updates employees My Time records in Kronos. * Ensures accurate records of agency use are completed on a daily basis to include licensure and DHS, orientation, and evaluation forms. * Approves and processes shift exchanges, ensures accurate data entry in scheduling system to include ill calls, schedules changes, and extra shifts. * Seeks opportunities to improve existing processes, procedures, and practices.
- Essential: Computer Skills Basic: Ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, etc). Critical Thinking: Gathers and integrates critical information, recognizing and addressing underlying assumptions of others, to arrive at effective solutions; breaks down problems into simple tasks or activities; analyzes relationships among several parts of a situation. Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co-workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection. Office Skills: Knowledge and application of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. Organization: Effective management of projects, deadlines, and work load prioritizing; putting things together in an orderly and functional whole. Records Management: Knowledge of appropriate data collection policy and procedures, filing systems, data management systems, and programs. Ability to compile, assimilate, organize, and store printed and electronic information. Scheduling: Knowledgeable in assigning appropriate amount of resources to meet business needs Written Communication: Ability to organize and express information and ideas in written form to individuals as well as groups. Construct messages that are clear and convincing.
- Education Essential: * Associate's Degree Associate (2 year) degree in business or healthcare-related area, OR High School diploma/GED and equivalent experience required. Experience: 1 to 3 years of related office or healthcare experience. Previous hospital experience preferred.
