Position Details 

Job Description:


  • 1. Manage the day to day administration of employee benefit programs including, but not limited to, health benefits, life and disability insurance, medical savings programs, pension plan, and leave of absence programs 
    2. Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employee benefits regulations; prepare government and participant reporting; maintain knowledge of evolving benefit law; and recommend changes to programs and plans to minimize risk 
    3. Develop and monitor administrative procedures that result in the accurate enrollment, payment, and processing of employee benefit transactions; develop and monitor internal data audits; work collaboratively with finance and systems management in areas of financial recordkeeping 
    4. Coordinates, validates and processes contract changes with vendors. Manages and directs vendor administration/relationships. Reviews and approves vendor invoices 
    5. Coordinates required disclosures and general benefits employee communications with communications team 
    6. Maintains knowledge of laws and regulations with application to Nasdaq's programs. Ensures legal compliance 
    7. Provides subject matter expertise to clients, team members, colleagues, etc. on projects 
    8. Participates in both internal and external projects that are broad in scope and closely tied to the organizational strategy

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
    • Bachelor’s degree - Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Management (Relevant work experience can be substituted for education 3 – 5 years) 
    • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience 
    • Supervisory experience preferred 
    • Experience designing, managing, and administering a variety of employee programs, including, but not limited to medical insurance, life and disability programs, and both defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans 
    • Strong familiarity with federal, state and local regulations impacting the design, operation, and administration of employee benefit programs 
    • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make actionable recommendations. 
    • Ability to communicate complex and sensitive ideas and information, verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels internally and externally
