Receives direction from the Supervisor, Building Services, and Campus & Facilities Leadership. Interacts with Campus & Facilities staff, other Allied Health Staff, and vendors/contractors.
Responsible for the painting of all painted surfaces, both inside and out. Maintains the physical building in good repair including but not limited to flooring, carpet, walls, wall covering, items installed on walls, doors, and new door hardware. Responsible for assembly, disassembly, and transportation of system furniture with an emphasis on systems installation. Also responsible for relocation of freestanding furniture including desks, file cabinets, chairs, tables, etc. Performs field repairs on all types of furniture. Mount wall hung items such as pictures, shelving, signage, maps, bulletin and market boards, etc. Provides related services to department managers. Skilled in the use of power tools and equipment. Utilizes TMS to receive, track and close-out work orders. Maintains all necessary documentation and testing logs to ensure compliance with JCAHO, Federal and/or State requirements. The incumbent may drive a Client vehicle on a regular or occasional basis.
Primary job will be to paint/patch and basic handyman skills. The bill rate in FG will be 22 an hour for a candidate selected for hire, and not the bill rate in FG. Monday through Thursday 10 hour days- 5:00am till 3:30pmHigh School Diploma/GED required. Minimum 2 years' experience in general building troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
Demonstrated ability to utilize computers. Demonstrated an ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the ability to read, write and speak English. Demonstrated self-starter and ability to take initiative, escalating issues as needed and appropriate. Must be able to communicate effectively with users on furniture components and layouts. Must be able to stand and stoop for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds. Strong interpersonal skills required. Previous experience in building infrastructure, such as plumbing, electrical, etc. preferred. Previous Vocational/Technical training in trade disciplines preferred.
Valid Arizona driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record required.
