Assignment Details 

Job Description:

  • This position is responsible for Coordinating Medical Staff activities and the Medical Staff Library, serving as a liaison between the facility medical staff and administration.  Responsible for the preparation and arrangement of Medical Committee meetings: initiates and processes initial appointments and biannual re-appointments to the medical staff, ensuring that all legal and regulatory criteria are met; oversees billing, collection and deposits of medical staff dues and related accounting records.  Ensures that monthly committee meeting minutes are produced in a timely and accurate manner.  Responsible for oversight to the medical staff peer review process (screening cases, case summaries, supporting the medical staff review peer review process efficiently and effectively).  Responsible for all departmental operations including recruitment, retention and management of staff, preparation and monitoring of annual operating and capital budgets: and actively participates in a variety of hospital committee meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years experience
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    Demonstrated knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
    CPMSS (Certified Professional in Medical Staff Services)
    CPCS (Certified Provide Credentialing Specialist)

  • M-F, day shift
