Assignment Details 

Job Description:

  • The Anesthesia Technician works under the supervision of the Anesthesia Manager and the direction of the Senior Anesthesia Technician. The Anesthesia Technician assists with direct patient care activities supporting the Anesthesiologist/CRNA during delivery of anesthesia. Working in the operating room the incumbent provides technical services to the anesthesiologist including blood analysis patient care equipment set-up and inspection and assistance with basic patient care procedures. Other duties as assigned. Experience Experience in an operating room environment in one of the following areas is required: Calibration quality control testing and maintenance of blood analysis equipment performance of blood analysis to include blood gases electrolytes glucose ACT and thematic provision of technical assistance to personnel in the operation and application of patient care equipment performance of patient care equipment inspections. Education Associate Degree in Anesthesia Technology is required. In lieu of Associate Degree 2 years of full time patient care experience is required. Licensure American Society Anesthesia Technologist/Technician (ASATT) Certification is preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required

Qualifications
