Assignment Details 

Job Description:

The Interventional Technologist will assist with clinical, technical and administrative functions on a daily basis. The Technologist will verify patient identification, history, diagnosis and procedure for both diagnostic and interventional cases. The Technologist will help with procedural preparation, supplies and maintain the sterile field according to the standards of care. The Technologist will be responsible for assisting in sterile procedures per physician preference, policy and procedure. The Technologist will assist with pre and post procedural patient care. The Technologist will be responsible for the operation and quality control of the Imaging System in a safe and competent manner supporting the ALARA principles and alerting the physician of intra-procedural dose thresholds and equipment trouble shooting. The Technologist will ensure all team members understand and comply with the principles of radiation safety to include time, distance, proper care and use of lead aprons and dosimetry badges. The Technologist will be responsible for additional procedural equipment set up and operation. The Technologist will actively participate in room turnover, patient transfer, terminal cleaning, stocking and quality improvement activities. 
The Interventional Technologist must have a good understanding of Advanced 3D Imaging including acquisition, post processing, reconstruction and 3D roadmap. The Technologist must have working knowledge of digital imaging archiving system (PACS). The Technologist should be familiar with but not limited to procedures such as TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, Uterine Fibroid Embolization, Liver Chemoembolization, Neurological embolizations, pipeline and stroke procedures, Vascular procedures, Endoleak repair, Cardiac device implants, chronic total occlusion revascularization. The Technologist must be able to support emergency call as indicated. 

The Interventional Technologist must be able to wear a lead apron for extended periods of time. The Technologist must be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently. The Technologist must be able to transport patients in wheelchairs, stretchers and hospital beds. 



? Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program 
? Radiologic Technologist (RTR) registry through the ARRT 
? Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI or CV) registry through the ARRT preferred 
? State Licensure where applicable 
? 2-3 years of experience in an Interventional or Hybrid OR setting 
? Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
