- The Administration Coordinator provides non-clinical support for the policies and procedures ensuring best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
- o High School Diploma or equivalent
o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
o Working knowledge of computers, or a demonstrated technical aptitude and an ability to quickly learn new systems
o Intermediate in Microsoft Office Word and beginner skills with Excel
o Good interpersonal skills
- o Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or a related field
o Prior healthcare experience in hospital, physician office and/or health plan
o Previous managed care experience
o Prior referral experience
o Bi-lingual - English/Spanish
o Familiar with ICD-10 and CPT codes, medical terminology
o Previous experience in a call center setting and production environment
