The Accident Research Associate will be the primary customer contact point for our Client's North American Accident Research Program Team and their external partners.  Gather critical information from our Client's customers who have been involved in moderate-to-severe crashes to help further the team’s research into the causes of injuries in real-world automobile crashes in the interest of refining product design

The Accident Research Associate will be the primary customer contact point for our Client's North American Accident Research Program Team and their external partners.  Gather critical information from our Client's customers who have been involved in moderate-to-severe crashes to help further the team’s research into the causes of injuries in real-world automobile crashes in the interest of refining product design

JOB DUTIES:
Communicate regularly by phone, email or letter with our Client's Group customers and drivers who have been in recent moderate-to-very-severe collisions in order to gather critical information and encourage their continued participation in the Client NA Accident Research Program.
Provide critical information about each crash to the Accident Research Program team and their research partners including customer statements and crash dynamics; enter detailed descriptions of injuries utilizing SAFER.
Analyze information about recent accidents from the database (SAFER) on a daily basis; thoroughly research each case utilizing appropriate internal and external resources and guidelines in order to inform the customer interview.
Support the Accident Research Team through the facilitation of customer contact, vehicle location and inspection; negotiate with owners, storage facilities, insurance companies and law enforcement agencies to secure proper authorizations for vehicle inspections.
Act as an informed ambassador of the ARP towards customers and various internal and external groups
Support Special Product Investigations in times of excessive SPI caseload or unexpected manpower shortages
Participate in training and remain knowledgeable about our Client's products, policies, and customer satisfaction philosophy.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
High School Diploma – MUST
College degree preferred 
Software:
Basic PC competency – Windows, MS Office Suite


Other Requirements:
• Some level of familiarity with various technical features and functions of our Client's products, particularly active and passive safety systems and advanced driver assistance systems
• Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully over a variety of platforms with individuals who have been involved in physically and/or emotionally stressful situations as an informed ambassador of the Client brand
• Highly organized
• Independent and capable of multi-tasking and effective time management
