****Property Document Researcher****


  • Experience locating property and land records
  • Ability to gather, analyze and summarize information in property and land records
  • Expert-level proficiency in property research terminology
  • Knowledge of how property records are filed in different states / or basic concepts of where to start in different states
  • Experience training colleagues on how to conduct property research / putting together training materials / serving as in-house expert
  • Examining/verifying titles
  • Searching and reporting/abstracting real estate records
  • experiencing working with a tax assessor’s office – that office is key to determining ownership of property and when the property may have changed hands
  • if someone can properly identify the difference between a judicial/non-judicial foreclosure and identify what things (documents) they might hope to find in either case
  • Must have familiarity and experience with searching property records and other legal instruments
  • In-depth knowledge of the various types of property records and how they relate to other instruments
  • Ability to interpret and describe recorded legal instruments
  • someone that has worked at a title company that may be able to better piece together Tax Assessor’s records, along with the Recorder records, to get the complete picture
  • So ideally we are looking for anywhere from 3-5 years’ experience in the above areas; based in DC; full time M-F 40 hours Candidate Requirements
